Matthew Smith has over 12 years experience as a specialist estates and trusts lawyer.

Matthew started his career in direct tax at EY and has also worked at HWL Ebsworth and Perpetual.   He has partnered with financial advisers and accountants to deliver holistic wealth planning outcomes for clients and their families.   Matthew has particular expertise in wills, private trusts, estate and trust administration, capacity law issues, powers of attorney, enduring guardianship appointments, probate, equity and trusts law.

Matthew joined Clinch Long Woodbridge in May 2016.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce / Laws from the Australian National University plus a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney.  He was admitted as a solicitor in 1997 and is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
